Characteristics of cork
01 Rich elasticity, good resilience. If you look at cork under a microscope, you'll see that it's made up of thousands of cellular stem cells, filled with gas inside and between them. Under external pressure, the space between cells will narrow and the internal pressure will increase. When the pressure is lost, the pressure in the cell, in the intercellular space, will restore the cell to its original state, which is what we perceive the elasticity of cork.
02 Strong stability, not easy to crack warping
Softwood has strong stability, little environmental impact, heat resistance range of -60℃ - +80℃. In the case of drastic changes in temperature and humidity, no cracking or warping. Very suitable for use with floor heating.
03 with anti-skid, high friction
Cork contains components of suberin and lignin, so liquids are completely impenetrable, and gases are virtually impenetrable. Good moisture resistance is ideal for basement space.
